As some of you may know I’m currently living in Miami but I’m originally from New York City. I’m in town for the holidays and was thrilled to learn that Ruthie Davis was having a sample sale. This was music to my ears because since moving to Miami I’ve been missing out on all the fabulous sample sales.

Ruthie Davis shoes are usually spotted on the red carpet being worn my today’s hottest celebs. Last night however they were spotted on the red carpet of the Mildred Pierce premiere on none other than the Shoe designer herself! Ruthie Davis wore “Future” platform pumps from her spring 2011 collection. She looked great, Girl Power!
Although it starts with just a design on paper, creating shoes is not easy. Besides a killer design, you must choose the right heel height, colors, materials, labels, soles and much more. Many shoe designers travel over seas to manufacture their shoes for either two reasons: cost or quality.
