Have you been dying to experience a Carrie Bradshaw moment and own you own pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes but don’t want to splurge? Well we have  great shoe news for you today! During J.Crew’s Fall presentation at New York Fashion Week, it was discovered that the models were actually wearing shoes designed by Manolo Blahnik. The collaboration with J. Crew will consist of a line of their classic BB style heels (seen below), in prints and colorways exclusive to J.Crew.

Last week at the FFaNY Expo (Fashion Footwear Association of New York) we had a chance to get a sneak peek at this season’s meanest shoe collections from up and coming shoe designers. One in particular who has received great reviews is talk show diva Wendy Williams.

Wendy Williams has teamed up with Ashley Taylor & Co. and ISO New York to debut her F/W 12’ collection “Adorn” at FFaNY.  The collection has Wendy written all over it, featuring added adornments, animal prints, suede, patent leather pumps, and flats to fit any female  up to size 12 as well as with wide feet.  Oh and we cannot forget Wendy’s signature shoe (the black on black suede pump with black studs on the heel), which she wore at FFANY on Thursday as well as on her show.

We’re honored to be participating during Social Media Week, a global conference that’s coming to Miami for the first time this year. Our Editor-in-chief  Lizmarys Duthil was selected as a panelist for the  FABB Roundtable, she’ll be discussing how social media contributes to the success of a fashion blog.  The panel is taking place this Thursday 16th from 9:30 – 10:45am. Halle Berry to Launch a Shoe Line

The Oscar winning actress designed a limited-edition line of footwear, called 5th Avenue by Halle Berry, for German brand Deichmann. Starting at about $47 Berry’s new shoe line will include casual sandals, studded wedges and more.  (E Online)

A few months ago we told you about Lala Anthony designing for ShoeDazzle. Well the fans must’ve really enjoyed that collaboration because the team over at ShoeDazzle is teaming up again this time with non other then Perez Hilton. Perez designed a pair of black studded shoes and a pair of silver studded sneakers. 100% of the profits go to GLSEN, the Gay Lesbian & Straight Education Network!!! Kanye West showcased his women’s clothing line “DW” during Paris Fashion week on Sunday. While everyone’s eyes were on the women’s fashion, which was very edgy, mixed with neutral/bold colors, and a mixture of low neckline’s on the dresses and shirts, our eyes were on some of the hottest shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti that graced the catwalk

Kanye teamed up with Italian designer Giuseppe Zanotti to showcase four exclusive pairs of shoes for his “DW” collection. Take a sneak peek below at the black strappy sandals (also comes in blue) and the black and white, two-toned fur trimmed peep-toe booties or sandals that were spotted on the runway.

“Kanye is always here in my factory. In the last three years, he has come here maybe every month and worked with the employees 10 to 12 hours a day.  Kanye loves learning about shoes, both the design and construction, and we’ve tried to design something together.”~ Zanotti told WWD

Lala Anthony who’s always featured on here for her mean shoe game is offering all of you shoe divas a chance to have a shoe game like hers. She’s teamed with ShoeDazzle to designed a unique, high-heeled, faux-snakeskin bootie with black elastic detail, which she  named “Ooh La La.”  100% of profits from the sale of the shoe will benefit one of her favorite charities, Community’s Child, a non-profit organization committed to providing homeless mothers with safe, structured, yet compassionate living environments. The bootie will be available on August 12th, exclusively in ShoeDazzle showrooms.

After a very fun Tuesday night at the Bryant Park Grill where the FFANY Industry Party took place, we headed back to FFANY  Wednesday morning for some more shoe love. At day 2 of FFANY retailers and exhibitors were still going strong and still seemed very excited. As we explored more showrooms we found shoe designer Sasha Igdari who was participating in FFANY for the first time showing her debut collection. We also stopped by N.Y.L.A and Charles David for previews of whats to come.

The first day of the FFANY Shoe Show we so much anticipated was a huge success! Hundreds of retailers from all over the world came down to the Hilton Hotel in New York to visit the FFANY Shoe Show, a three day tradeshow that takes place four  times a year in New York City. MissMeanShoe.com was selected to partner up with FFANY for the “FFANY Blogger Network”. This is an honor for us considering that fact that it was a trip to the FFANY Shoe Show in 2009 that inspired our founder Lizmarys Duthil to create MissMeanShoe.com!

As we walked around the floors we quickly popped in and out of a few showrooms to see what is coming our way for Spring and even Fall of next year. Matiko Footwear literally made us drop our jaws at the sight of their upcoming collection. Also introduced to us for the very first time at FFANY was Blond Ambition, by far our favorite showroom  stop of the day. Posh Footwear, another new brand introduced to us by FFANY that really had us at “Hello”. Besides Blonde Ambition and Posh Footwear we also met Restricted Footwear who has an awesome upcoming Fall collection.

We had a great opportunity to attend the reopening of  Saks OFF 5^th at Woodbury Commons. Before we get to the main attraction (the shoes) let us tell you about the set up of the store (or loft), which was decorated with incandescent lighting, high fashion pictures all around the store, wall to wall mirrors, High ceilings and we can’t forget to mention the music that kept us bopping while we shopping. We must admit the shoe section was the first section we went to and there were plenty of shoes to keep us there and happy.

Christian Dior, Jimmy Choo, L.A.M.B, Valentino, Max Kibardin, Givenchy, Fendi and Boutique9 were just a few designers that we saw and loved in the shoe department, which seemed more like shoe heaven!  The different glass display tables that featured some of the meanest shoes, wedges and even flats from Tory Burch, Saks, and 5|48 attracted all of the customers.  The different colors from last season and this season shoes was a sight to see. Color trends and styles such as nude pumps, studded booties, fringed open-toe pumps, patent leather sling-backs, sparkly shoes, gold appliqué, floral wedge patterns, snake skin, double platform, neon colors, bright colors (pastels) that welcomes each season and our favorite of course, Red Soles.
