We hope you had a fantastic Fourth of July weekend! We had a chance to attend the “RED WHITE AND SHOE” Tweet-Up  for shoe designer Jessica Pritchett’s fall 2011 Collection at Cubana Social, which is located in Brooklyn.  Self-proclaimed shoe fanatic Jessica Pritchett has created a brand that has caused a stir of interest from fashion conscience consumers, taste-makers and industry-insiders. Feeling a frustration of limited fashionable shoes for sizes larger than 10, Jessica pursued her dream of footwear design, leaving her l0-year corporate career in the music business.

Jessica’s Fall 11′ collection features a different variety of ballerina pointed-toe flats, shoes, wedges, army/ riding boots as well as wedge boots.  What is unique with Jessica’s collection is that there is a mixture of different styles and colors (mixing suede and leather, etc).  The inspiration for Jessica’s collection not only comes from her favorite shoe designers; Christian Louboutin, Nicholas Kirkwood and Jeffery Campbell but some of her shoes, which has a vintage feel stems from her love for the 70’s era which is inspired by Josephine Baker, Ava Gardner, Lana Turner and Grave Jones to name a few.

We had the pleasure of attending shoe designer Mallory Mustante’s “Shoe & Tell” trunk show on Wednesday night.  Mallory Mustante Shoe collection consists of  her “Hand Painted” designs incorporated in each of her shoes as well as a bridal collection.

A frustrated Mallory Musante launched her footwear brand in May of 2009 after an unsuccessful search for unique shoes that expressed her personality. Since then she’s been assisting other shoe lovers express their personalities by offering custom hand paintings on their shoes.

Meet Asjha Takera Jones, a basketball player for the Women’s National Basketball Association’s (WNBA) Connecticut Suns. British shoe designer Georgina Goodman is know for her famous trademark “LOVE” shoes, which are embossed in each shoe she designs.  Georgina launched and set up her own label in 2002 and has been nominated for various awards including “Accessory Designer of the Year” by the British Fashion Council.  Georgina’s brand has become synonymous with uncompromising style, clarity of vision and discreet originality.  Gwyneth Paltrow, Thandie Newton as well as Evelyn Lozada has been spotted wearing the Meanest shoes by Ms. Goodman.
