We had a chance to attend the “RED WHITE AND SHOE” Tweet-Up for shoe designer Jessica Pritchett’s fall 2011 Collection at Cubana Social, which is located in Brooklyn. Self-proclaimed shoe fanatic Jessica Pritchett has created a brand that has caused a stir of interest from fashion conscience consumers, taste-makers and industry-insiders. Feeling a frustration of limited fashionable shoes for sizes larger than 10, Jessica pursued her dream of footwear design, leaving her l0-year corporate career in the music business.

We had the pleasure of attending shoe designer Mallory Mustante’s “Shoe & Tell” trunk show on Wednesday night. Mallory Mustante Shoe collection consists of her “Hand Painted” designs incorporated in each of her shoes as well as a bridal collection.

Meet Asjha Takera Jones, a basketball player for the Women’s National Basketball Association’s (WNBA) Connecticut Suns. Aside from shooting hoops Asjha has added footwear designer to her resume, creating Takera Shoes. Takera Shoes is an emerging luxury line of shoes for women with sizes 10.5-15. Asjha who is 6″3 tall and wears a size 13 created Takera Shoes after continuously experiencing first hand how difficult it can be to find a Mean shoe in her size.
