Kim Kardashian was spotted arriving at Magic City aka Miami in a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti cork and gold wedges. Nicki Minaj was spotted wearing the same wedge but colorblock at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show. These wedges look so comfortable no wonder Kim choose them to travel.

Today’s Wedge Wednesday feature is by Ruthie Davis who I just had the pleasure of meeting recently. This wedge named “Cake” is ultra high with a cute hint of pop pink and spikes in the back of the ankle. Simple and fun all in one.

Manolo Blahnik! What a devoted shoe lover does not know this name? Dominating the high end footwear industry for over 20 years, today Manolo Blahnik is a household brand delivering elegant and classic shoes to shoenistas from all over the world. Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie Bradshaw on the hit shoe “Sex and the City” contributed tremendously to the success and popularity of Monolo Blahnik shoes. Last week I was invited to Saks Fifth Avenue at Bal Hourbour Shops to meet George Malkemus,  president of Manolo Blahnik. Malkemus was in Miami to debut the spring 2012 collection.

Guests enjoyed champagne, music and hors d’oeuvres while looking through the collection. I had the opportunity to interview Malkemus and here’s what he had to say, read below.

” A simple sexy black pump, small kitten heel slingback, and ballerina flat.”

Wow! I was left speechless when I saw this shoe. Today’s Mean Shoe of the Day is by Yves Saint Laurent and features satin suede and patent leather, a gold sole and toe and a combination of slingblack and tie-up. The pattern on the heel gives the shoe some contrast against the white, black and gold.

We’re half way through the week shoe lovers! Today’s Wedge Wednesday shoe is by Pierre Hardy, featuring canvas and a colorblock technique this wedge is a must have this spring/ summer. Denim shorts, silky legs and these wedges makes a great outfit.

Today’s Mean Shoe of the Day are by Jefferey Campbell. Tawny features a very warm spring welcoming orange color but it’s the spikes and studs that give these shoes an edge. Embracing the new curved heel trend, these shoes definitely on our list of spring must-haves.
