This Month I’ve had the remarkable pleasure of meeting and interviewing the author of

Stilettos in the Kitchen, Shanel Cooper Sykes.

This beautiful woman, both inside and out is inspiring woman all over the country with her new book, life coaching, motivational speaking and interactive online classroom all while knowing how to appreciate a good shoe! The Red bottoms on the cover of her book is just a peek that Shanel’s shoe game is MEAN! Oh and did I mention she’s a fabulous cook and  make-up artist too! Ms.Cooper is just a multi-talent who’s sharing the wealth of her knowledge and experience.

Ms. Shanel Cooper refers to herself as an Entrepreneurial Artist, why you may ask? Because she feels everything she does its a form of Art, a form of creation and in the same token she is a Business woman. Put it all together and you have your Entrepreneurial Artist. (Go head sister!)

Shanel began her journey to be who she is very early. She grew up in a Muslim household where she learned to cook very young and her mother owned a Charmed School and was a model. Her mother had her in Fashion Shows, Plays and Modeling as a child. She says she’s had an Entrepreneurial spirit from a young age, trying to turn everything around her into a business. At the age of 12 she would cut out stockings and would make  accessories out of them and sell them. Talk about a Business Woman in the making!

Shanel discovered an important combination of being “domestic” and being sexy/independent at the same time. In her new book, and a series of books to follow, she combines her love for cooking, coaching skills, and beauty expertise to write women empowerment books that will leave you inspired and motivated!

Shanel says, “I wrote my book to teach woman how to get back the essence of being a woman taking care of home, cooking, cleaning, being submissive to your husband, creating family,creating a wonderful life for yourself and showing women how to be entrepreneurs and be independent, and be fabulous, and be powerful, that’s exactly what Stilettos in the Kitchen is all about.”
